When it's time to sell your [Profile.profile] home you want to make sure that everything is taken care of that may cause a problem during the process.  Below are a number of cheap things that can be done to make your property more desirable to potential buyers without costing you a bunch of money.

  1. Curb appeal: this is an important item because you should be giving buyers cause to get out of their vehicle and see the home instead of just driving by it, like other homes for sale in Lethbridge. Keep the grass watered and nicely cut. Keep the tree limbs pruned. Keep the bushes trimmed. Ensure all your paint is in good condition. Seal your driveway if it is discoloured.
  2. Mailbox:  Interestingly, mailboxes make people feel good. Take the time to ensure yours is polished, painted, or in otherwise good condition. It will make potential buyers feel good as they approach your door, especially compared to other Lethbridge property they've seen.
  3. Plant some flowers:  this does wonders for curb appeal.  A few annuals and even some colored mulch enhances the front and attracts the eye of buyers. They might also smell good and attract birds!
  4. Paint your front door:  Doors can be difficult to paint but it's worth your time to find the right paint that suits the material. Find some fiting colours for your home and go for it. It will make your home stand out from the others. It will make it warm and welcoming. And believe it or not, it will increase your chances of selling. And it only costs a little money and a little time!
  5. De-clutter inside:  you want potential Lethbridge home buyers to see the size of your rooms and not how many boxes haven't made it to storage.  Buyers are sizing rooms to see how their furniture will fit.  Don't take away from it with clutter. Be sure you have open sight lines and can see each corner as you enter the room. Don't block entrances with tables, chairs, pianos, or other large items. Allow for easy transitions.
  6. Control pets:  if you have animals make arrangements to keep them in their kennel while you are away.  You cannot control whether or not a buyer likes animals. Be sure the home shows NO signs of pets when you leave for your showing.
